UK dance music monthly DJ Mag has just revealed its annual Top 100 Club Polls, with a few notable shifts in the ranks.
2011 is the second year that the list has been decided by public votes, whereas in the past it was the DJs who picked the favourites.
So, what are the ultimate clubbing destinations for the people who populate the dancefloor?
Coming in at number one is Space Ibiza, home to We Love...Sundays, Carl Cox fiesta The Revolution Continues and this season, Armin van Buuren’s Wednesday night residency. Conspicuously absent from the top ten this year is London institution Fabric, consistently a favourite from the DJ’s perspective.
The gargantuan 5000-capacity Fabrik in Madrid claims the number two spot, with Brazil’s Green Valley ascending 50 spots in twelve months to third place. Last year’s #1 Sankeys in Manchester slipped to seventh position, while familiar high-rankers like Berghain, Ministry Of Sound and Amnesia were back in the top ten.
