TIESTO & AOKI JOIN FORCES...

It seems of late Tiesto has more studio partners than he has days off. After teaming up with High Contrast, Diplo, Kaskade, deadmau5 and Mark Knight (to name a few), the Dutchman has added Dim Mak overlord Steve Aoki to his dominion.

After crossing paths and swilling vodka on various festival stages around the world, it seems the two DJs were keen to co-author a banger. The Tiesto/Aoki collaboration 'Tornado' is going directly to Beatport on 15 November.

TIESTO SET TO BREAK U.S CROWD RECORD...

After a couple of decades in the game, it’s pretty remarkable to see there’s still room for Tiësto to go bigger. The irrepressible Dutchman has set his sights on conquering North America in recent times, setting up shop in Las Vegas, headlining monster festivals like Electric Daisy Carnival and Electric Zoo and now, in a move that can only be described as savvy, touring US colleges. What better way to win the hearts of America’s impressionable and frequently intoxicated youth?

Even by his bombastic standards, the final stop of the college tour is going to be a large one. In fact, according to Billboard, Tiësto’s show at the 26,000-capacity Home Depot Stadium in L.A. on 8 October will be the largest single-headliner DJ show in U.S. history. “L.A. has always been such a welcoming city to me and it’s been a while since I’ve played there,” says the DJ, “so to be able to finish off the college tour with such a great show is really special.”

We know dance music is big business in the L.A. right now, but 26,000 is a lot of tickets. That said, he’ll probably pull it off, then do it again in 2012. The kids want trouse.

TIESTO 'IN THE BOOTH'...

It’s time to get up close and personal with the world’s most famous DJ. Tiësto is announcing plans for ‘In The Booth’ – a documentary-style web-based show that will invite fans behind the scenes with the superstar.

Consisting of 15 episodes, each about 5-7 minutes in length, Tiësto will take you from Las Vegas to Ibiza, backstage and onstage at some of the biggest festival’s and most exclusive nightclubs in the world.

The social media whiz, who currently has over nine million fans on Facebook and over 485,000 followers on Twitter, will promote his show through both platforms. When considering the fact that this is a man that garners over 500,000 video views per day on YouTube alone, the ‘In The Booth’ series (set to launch this autumn) smell success long way.

“I am really excited to be producing my own show, and for the first time my fans will be able to truly experience all that happens on tour and behind-the-scenes,” says the superstar himself.

TIESTO HAVING IT LARGE THIS SUMMER...

For most of the world, Monday means back to the grind, but not in Ibiza. With the Swedish House Mafia kicking off the 'working week' at Pacha this summer, Dutch superstar Tiesto has announced that he’s returning to Mondays at Privilege for the fourth consecutive year. Who will have the bigger road-blocks?..


Speaking about his top ten venues in the world to play, Tiesto nominated Privilege at #2. "My residencies here have been astounding and it's always the place I debut new production and lots of new tracks," he said. "Ibiza is like my home away from home every summer."

As well as marathon sets from the man himself, a host of special guests will bulk out the Club Life residency. Tiesto collaborators Hardwell and Marcel Woods will drop in, alongside Club Life radio show regulars like Bassjackers, Henrik B and Rebecca and Fiona.

Tiesto’s ever-widening sound is reflected by Dim Mak flag-bearers Steve Aoki and Tai, plus Swedish indie-pop outfit Miike Snow in DJ mode. More details about Tiesto’s Club Life Ibiza residency will be announced soon.
