NY legend Danny Tenaglia joins Nicole Moudaber in Ibiza on 12th August.

It’s official, the new Ushuaia is on fire! Fortunately not literally (unlike parts of London), but there’s nowhere that’s being more talked about in Ibiza right now than the brand new club come hotel. Hosting huge outdoor parties with a capacity that stretches into the thousands, they’ve already got the likes of Luciano lining up to man their decks while the accompanying hotel boasts soundproofed suites with Pioneer CDJ 2000 decks with eight speakers and a subwoofer amongst their luxuries!

Who better to help kick off the party of than Danny Tenaglia who arrives there on Friday 12th August to dazzle the tanned faces of the White Isle with a set of classics. Supporting him is promoter turned DJ and producer Nicole Moudaber, an island resident who understands exactly what music to drop in the summer sun.

BBC RADIO ONE IN IBIZA 2011...

It wouldn't be summer without Radio One's annual trip to the wonderful island of Ibiza!

This year, Radio One were joined by a sterling line-up, including Calvin Harris, deadmau5, Magnetic Man, Skream & Benga, Example, Carl Cox, Funkagenda, Judge Jules and many more!

It all went down on Fri 5th and Sat 6th August 2011, when Radio 1 brought us 12 hours of non-stop dance music from Playa d'en Bossa in Ibiza. They kicked off with a huge free Radio 1 Party at the beautiful Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel, before heading to Space to join the all-night 'Space presents Come Together' party.

KOOL & THE GANG TO LAND IN IBIZA...

Ushuaïa – one of the hottest new venues in Ibiza - continues to secure the best acts for the rest of the season with legendary Kool & The Gang confirmed to perform on 7th August at the Beach Hotel Club, with a capacity of over 4000 in their outdoor clubbing area.

One of those legendary names in contemporary music, and with 30 years of experience under their belt, Kool & The Gang will be bringing their influential, party doused r’n’b to the island to perform a live set, which will no doubt feature their famous singles such as 'Celebration', 'Jungle Boogie' and 'Summer Madness' besides more. Funky.

Its the latest addition to an eclectic and different program of events for the Ibiza based hang out, including the return of Bob Sinclar, Danny Tenaglia and The Human League besides more.

SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA TAKE THE PARTY OUTSIDE IN IBIZA...

To no one’s surprise, the 2011 Ibiza season has got off to a blockbuster start for the Swedish House Mafia. The trio’s Masquerade Motel residency is now in its fifth week, with plenty more debauched Mondays to come. Not content with weekly roadblocks outside Pacha, the Swedes announced overnight that they’ll be heading into the sunshine for a series of daytime shows.

After apparently searching for “an amazing outdoor space”, they’ve settled on the much-hyped Ushuaia Beach Club (the same place Danny Tenaglia has chosen for his 12-hour classics set). Next Wednesday 13 July, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso will be in control, with special surprise guests from their respective labels Size and Refune. We imagine dancing space will be at a premium.

When they’re not living it up in Ibiza, the Mafiosos have a few colossal headline slots planned in July at Tomorrowland and T In The Park.

DANNY TENAGLIA SETTLES IN FOR 12 HOUR SET IN IBIZA...

There a few figures in dance music that receive the level of respect that New York house kingpin Danny Tenaglia does, and deservedly so because even after some 30 years in the game Danny is still out there each weekend spinning epic sets until somebody stops him.

That’s about to happen again as Tenaglia will take to the decks of one this season’s most whispered about Ibiza clubs, Ushuaia Ibiza, on August 12th for a marathon set from noon to midnight. Yep, 12 hours of classics from the big man. That alone is an excuse to hit up Ibiza but with a 5000 person capacity and a sleek promo video to go with it we reckon the Ushuaia club is worth investigating a little further too.
