Bass Clef has been part of the Bristol and London bass scenes for a long time, remaining on the fringes and mixing bashment, dubstep and bleepy electronica with live instrumentation and horns, particularly the trumpet. He’s finally been asked to release a track through 'Punch Drunk', the seminal Bristol-based label. About time too!
It’s a timely release following on from Clef’s third album ‘Inner Space Break Free’ on 'Magic + Dreams'. ‘Rollercoasters of the Heart’ delivers stomach churning basslines and emotional, dub echoed beats, with So Cruel offering a flip to this sentiment with dark, tough and heavy clout.
