JUSTICE, 'AUDIO, VIDEO, DISCO'...

Justice have announced details of their long awaited second album.

The follow up to 2007′s † will be titled 'Audio, Video, Disco' and features guest appearances from Midnight Juggernauts and Ali Love. The album, which is scheduled for a UK release on October 24, features a strong 70′s rock influence with the duo revealing they were heavily influenced by Led Zeppelin, The Who and Blue Oyster Cult during the recording.

But the duo are keen to warn fans that they haven’t completely gone off in a new direction with an album that is already being described by some as "Giorgio Moroder meets Iron Maiden down at Fabric".

According to Gaspard Augé, the taller hairier half of the duo, "It's not like we’ve gone off in an obscure direction but music like Led Zeppelin and The Who was to our taste when we were making this album."

The album retains Justice's widescreen production lathering on a unique sonic shimmery to their 70′s rock influences. See full tracklisting below.

NEW JUSTICE LP TO GO MEDIEVAL...

With all of their Christ-centric imagery, it’s fitting that the lead up to the release of Justice’s sophomore studio album is being built up as a second coming of sorts for the French electro twosome.

Due to drop this October, the untitled second LP from Justice has been kept under tight wraps with only a teaser single in Civilization and album tracklisting made public, but in this month’s Mixmag the Ed Banger duo opened up a little bit on the direction of the record, citing weathered influences from ‘70s rock acts as key to the recording.

“The first album was the night and the city, this one is the day and the countryside,” Justice’s Xavier de Rosnay explained. “We’ve always had a soft spot for medieval music,” Gaspard Auge added. “We don’t want to launch into it too far and end up playing leprechaun festivals, but these band we love – The Beatles, Black Sabbath – they all had ways of blending traditional with modern music. You can hear it a lot in Planisphere but on the album we’ve gone even further back in time.”

The feature contains a few other hints at what the new album packs under the hood with Mixmag’s correspondent reporting some “folky” flourishes despite an overall “club-centric vision”, not to mention vocal appearances by Ali Love, Morgan Phalen of rockers Diamond Nights and Australia’s own Vincent Vendetta from Midnight Juggernauts who lends his pipes to the album.

JUSTICE UNVEIL ALBUM TRACKLISTING...

Justice, the Parisian purveyors of blockbusting electro-house beats, have revealed the tracklist of their eagerly-awaited second album in an interview with French music magazine Tsugi. While the title itself remains a mystery, this should be enough to keep you going until we know more about the follow-up to 2007's massive (and rather difficult to type) †.
