WE LOVE.... IBIZA 2011 PODCAST - CLOSING PARTY SPECIAL...

Its been an awesome summer, helped massively by the guys from We Love...
Each week they have been treating 2 Dirty Smart fans to VIP treatment on the White Isle & filling our ears with some great sounds.

Before presenting the final podcast of the summer i want to give a huge thanks to the guys at 'We Love...' 'Space' & 'Sentric Digital'. Dirty Smart LUVS YA!

The podcast this week comes from the action-packed We Love Closing Party at Space and features two live sets and two live P.A.s from both the big Terraces. First stop is the Main Terrace to catch residents Jason Bye and Jem Haynes in full flow , accompanied by Ian C on percussion. Next we're on the Sunset Terrace for a special performance of Last Night A DJ Saved My Life, plus Rob Da Bank live and in conversation, all topped off with Adamski playing his classic Killer 2011 style.

About this weeks 'We Love... Space' event...

Cologne based Superpitcher makes his We Love Space debut on La Terraza alongside heavy hitters Joris Voorn, Hot Chip DJs Felix & Al, Paul Woolford and Mat Playford. Big room electronica is the order of the day when Chew The Fat! host the Discoteca with Simian Mobile Disco, Foamo and a welcome return for Felix Da Housecat, resident Jem Haynes completes the room's lineup.

Expect big room house from Funkagenda on the Sunset Terrace alongside Jem Haynes and percussionist Ian C, with Ian Blevins warming things up in the sunshine. Mr Doris and Roger C take things from midnight until dawn. Paul Mogg is back for another extended El Salon session with Bones and David Phillips while Savana Potente are represented in the Red Box by DJ Qu, Claude, Vincent, Gambo, Ela Gee. The Green Valley Terrace is headed up by Alfredo, Ben Korbel and Andy Carroll.

About this weeks 'We Love... Space' event...

In celebration of his 10 year stint playing for We Love, James Zabiela has been given free reign in the Discoteca on August 7th and programmed the room's lineup himself. He's chosen an artist making blistering of-the-moment bass music in the form of Pearson Sound as well as the emotional eclecticism of Apparat, Tom Budden and Spektre. Big things meanwhile on the Terraza with 2manydjs, Groove Armada presenting Red Light, Rob Da Bank bringing Bestival vibes, Caged Baby a.k.a Thomas Gandey and Ryan O'Gorman.

Rock Nights take the helm of Sunset Terrace until midnight with a DJ set from Mystery Jets supported by Colin Peters and Andy Carroll. Negghead and Doris present Afterdark from midnight until close. It's Black Rabbit all the way from London Town with Guy Williams, Luca C and Bones in El Salon. The Italian contingent of Savava Potente are representing in the Red Box with Pako S, Vincent, YaYa and Gambo. You'll find Alfredo, Ian Blevins, Ben Korbel and Jon Howell on the Green Valley Terrace from sunset to sunrise.

APHEX TWIN & WEIRDCORE @ WE LOVE, SPACE, IBIZA…

If there was anyone who could sully the perception that club visuals are all pretty colours and shapes, it's Aphex Twin. The electronic renegade descended on Ibiza for the We Love…Space closing party in September 2010, and he made sure his debut was not one soon forgotten.

Last week, Aphex Twin's visuals wizard – the appropriately-named Weirdcore – posted a video of his handiwork from the main room at Space.
Complementing the unhinged sounds booming out the speakers, Weirdcore's visuals, projected on custom-built screens, used the freaky technique of 'face-mapping' to mess with minds on the dancefloor. In the video below you'll see clubbers excitedly registering their faces on the screen, before watching themselves morph into something far more sinister.

"I was just trying to make the show interesting and interactive," Weirdcore told the We Love blog. "But what was done there was very early stages, the technique has been developed waaaay further, and is still in development...."
