GROOVE ARMADA, RED LIGHT TRAX...

Groove Armada, Red Light Traxx
Since unveiling their revelatory audio-visual Red Light show with a series of high-octane performances starting at Rockness this summer, Groove Armada have been wetting people’s appetites with the first taste of their new project.

Now, they are set to unleash the first of this material in the form of the five-track 'Red Light Trax Vol.1' EP, taking you on a journey through a world of late nights, dark clubs and hedonistic underground music.

As the soft rave-flecked synth stabs rise through the mix ushering in the EP, lead track ‘The Pleasure Victim’ immediately delves into the warehouse sound that the Red Light project has re-envisioned, taking their sound back to their roots with a refined sound honed to perfection from years of rocking crowds.

'Ocsillator One' tows a harder line driven by the solid thud of the kick and ascending bass pulses while buzzing synth lines squirm through the track. 'Torrentes' takes a more minimal approach with acid synths, jacking rhythms and surging bass swells, while the twilight synths of 'Stevie Late Night' head deeper. The EP finishes with 'RJ's Theme', an eight-minute voyage into spacier territory.

As the last track trails off into the morning air, it is left spinning through your head.
